Comanche Springs Astronomy Campus The 3 Rivers Foundation for the arts and sciences owns land located just west of Crowell, TX. I do volunteer work for this foundation, e.g. volunteering at onsite star parties, doing school events in the Dallas area, and supporting offsite special and/or public observing events. The foundation participates in multiple scientific fields of study, but astronomy is a large focus. |
This dome houses a 15" achromatic refractor for visual use. Attached is a classroom building. On this particular evening, we were bummed about the clouds. Soon the sky became colorful so I grabbed this photo while I could with the rainbow, the sky glow, and the flowers all providing a colorful view.
